I am a newly qualified interpreter/ translator and I work from French and Italian into English. I live in the UK right now but have spent a lot of time in France and Italy (and hope to go back as often as I can!)
Dlaczego tu jestem? | I really want to work in journalistic translation and I love the way cafebabel operates. It gives me the opportunity to interact with a European community that I have come to miss since returning to the UK to finish my studies after an ERASMUS year in 2005/6. Now that I have finished my MA, I am really looking forward to being more involved again :)
Dla mnie Europa jest | A wonderful idea that doesn't always work but is still worth fighting for. I don't think we should ever relinquish our nationalities because home culture is very important, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy being European at the same time.

Moje ulubione danie | This is an impossible question! I adore my mum's recipe for roast lamb with garlic, parsley and lemon zest, but I can't say no to a good tiramisu or a baguette with Roquefort, honey and dried figs...mmm!
Je suis une traductrice anglaise (Fr-Ang/It-Ang) et je viens de finir mon Master en traduction et interprétation à l'Université de Bath. Actuellement, j’habite en Angleterre, mais j’ai vécu aussi en France et en Italie et j’aimerais bien y revenir dans la future.
Dlaczego tu jestem? | Pour moi le sentiment d’être européenne est très important mais cela ne veut pas dire que je me ne sens pas anglaise !

Mieszkałem/Mieszkałam w | Je n’ai pas un vrai plat préféré, mais j’adore l’agneau à l’ail, persil, et citron que fait ma mère et le tiramisu italien et puis une baguette française avec du roquefort, du miel et des figues (c'est bon - je vous assure!)
Sono traduttrice d’italiano e francese verso l’inglese, e ho appena finito il mio Master all’università di Bath. In questo momento vivo in Inghilterra ma ho anche vissuto in Italia e in Francia e mi piacerebbe tornarci nel futuro.
Dlaczego tu jestem? | Per me, l’Europa è molto importante per farsi conoscere e capire. Mi sento bene in ambiente europeo con persone di altri paesi europei, ma sono sempre una ragazza inglese. :)

Mieszkałem/Mieszkałam w | Non posso scegliere un piatto solo. Adoro l’agnello all’aglio, prezzemolo e limone come fa la mia mamma, e un bel tiramisù è buonissimo, e poi il pane francese con un po’ di Roquefort, miele e ficchi è una combinazione deliziosa.
