Proprio come le banche centrali di ciascun paese, la Banca Centrale Europea è formalmente indipendente dalle altre istituzioni europee e dagli stati membri. Ma è realmente così?

Il problema è cha tanti paesi come la Francia vogliono toglierla questa indipendenza alla BCE. Cio' sarebbe disastroso perché vorrebbe dire tornare ai bei tempi della svalutazione. Fortunatamente la Merkel veglia da buona mastina tedesca sulla "sovranità" di Francoforte.
