Gijón unveils part of line-up

The 47th Gijón International Film Festival, which as usual champions bold and contemporary films, is warming up.
Although there is still over a month before the start of the event, to be held from November 19-28, several titles in the Official Selection have already been revealed.
These include Soul Kitchen by Fatih Akin, who will be the subject of a retrospective; Bobbie Paunescu’s Romanian film Francesca; French titles Welcome [trailer] by Philippe Lioret, The French Kissers [trailer] by Riad Sattouf, and The King of Escape [trailer] by Alain Guiraudie; João Pedro Rodrigues’ Portuguese title To Die Like A Man; Uruguayan director Álvaro Brechner’s debut work Bad Day To Go Fishing, co-produced by Spain; Japanese title Wakaranai; and US film Humpday.
